The Oceanography department at UH is a competitive interdisciplinary program. Please, see the Oceanography web site for details on applying. Students are expected to have a good background in Biology and Ecology, an excellent GPA and GRE scores, and letters of recommendation from those who can comment on the candidate's potential for success in graduate school. Applicants for graduate school are also encouraged to apply for fellowships.
